How to do the Mini Band Lateral Walk
- Place a mini band around your ankles and stand with your feet hip-width apart.
- Bend your knees slightly and step sideways, feeling the band pull gently.
- Keep your knees from caving inward as you step, toes pointed mostly forward.
- Continue stepping sideways, then reverse direction for a full set.
Full technique — 7 steps
- Place a mini band around your ankles or just above your knees and stand tall.
- Set your feet hip-width apart, then bend your knees and hips into a shallow athletic stance.
- Tighten your stomach and keep your toes pointed mostly forward as you create tension on the band.
- Step sideways with the lead foot without letting your knees cave inward.
- Follow with the trailing foot until you return to hip-width stance, keeping band tension throughout.
- Continue for several controlled steps in one direction without letting your feet come together.
- Reverse directions and repeat the same stepping pattern to the opposite side.
