Delete your seto account and data
You can delete your registered seto account and the data associated with it at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no grace period and no way to recover the account afterwards.
Deleting the seto app from your device does not automatically delete your account or data stored on the seto backend.
Delete your account inside the app
To delete a registered account:
- Open the seto app.
- Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
- Scroll to the Account section at the bottom.
- Tap Delete account.
- Review the deletion warning and confirm the destructive action in the confirmation dialog. The flow is identical for password and Sign in with Apple / Google accounts — no password re-entry is required.
The deletion request is processed in a single transaction by the seto backend the moment you confirm. Once it returns successfully, you are signed out and the account no longer exists.
Request deletion without access to the app
If your account is locked, your phone is broken, or the app is inaccessible for any reason, you can request deletion by email instead:
- Send a message to contact@seto.fit from the email address registered to your seto account, with the subject Delete my seto account.
- Include the statement “Please delete my seto account and the personal data associated with it.”
- We will send a confirmation code or link to the registered email address to verify that the request was made by the account owner, then process the deletion without undue delay — normally within 7 days. More time may be required if the request cannot be verified, is unusually complex, or information must be retained for a legal reason.
Email-based deletion is a fallback, not a separate channel — the end result is identical to using the in-app flow.
What is deleted
When deletion is completed, seto permanently and immediately hard-deletes the data associated with the account from its active systems in a single transaction, including, where applicable:
- account information, registered email address, and password hash;
- authentication-provider identifiers (Apple / Google);
- profile and onboarding information, age, and training preferences;
- workout history — exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, and durations;
- custom exercises, workout templates, and routines;
- workout notes, goals, and equipment settings;
- selected physical limitations;
- calculated personal records and training statistics;
- gyms, equipment configurations, favourites, and other saved preferences;
- active and revoked refresh tokens (you're signed out from every device);
- other user-specific data stored as part of the seto account.
Deletion removes the complete seto account rather than only making it temporarily inactive — there is no soft-delete flag and no restore path.
Information that may not be deleted immediately
Backups
Residual copies of deleted data may remain temporarily in encrypted, access-controlled backups. They are deleted or overwritten through the normal backup-rotation process and are not restored to active use except where necessary for disaster recovery, security, or legal compliance.
Security and diagnostic records
Limited server, security, fraud-prevention, or diagnostic records may remain for their normal retention period. Where reasonably possible, these records are deleted, de-identified, or separated from the deleted account.
Legal obligations and disputes
We may retain limited information where necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a valid legal request, prevent or investigate fraud and abuse, resolve payment or subscription disputes, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Any retained information is limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
Third-party records
Apple, Google, RevenueCat, email providers, infrastructure providers, and other third parties may retain information under their own privacy policies and legal obligations. Deleting your seto account does not require those independent providers to delete records that they are legally or operationally entitled to retain.
Your seto Pro subscription
Deleting your seto account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel an active seto Pro subscription. Subscriptions are managed by the store through which they were purchased.
Apple App Store
On an iPhone or iPad:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select seto.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
Google Play
On Android:
- Open Google Play.
- Open your profile menu.
- Select Payments & subscriptions.
- Select Subscriptions.
- Select seto.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
You may also be able to open the relevant subscription-management screen through the Manage subscription option inside seto. Cancel the subscription before deleting your account if you do not want it to renew — cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period, unless the applicable store or consumer law provides otherwise.
Purchase history and refunds
Your Apple App Store or Google Play purchase history is managed by Apple or Google and is not deleted by seto. Deleting your seto account does not automatically create a refund request.
Refund requests should normally be submitted through the store where the subscription was purchased. Refund eligibility depends on the applicable platform rules and consumer law.
Emails already delivered to you
Emails that have already been delivered to your inbox, such as verification or password-reset messages, are stored by your email provider and are not removed when your seto account is deleted. seto's transactional email provider may retain limited delivery logs for its normal operational, security, and legal retention period.
Re-registering after deletion
Once an account is deleted, the email address is freed up immediately. Signing up again with the same email starts a brand-new, separate account — none of your previous workouts, exercises, routines, settings, or other deleted information carries over automatically.
A store subscription may still exist independently of your deleted seto account. Where supported, you may need to use the Restore purchases function or contact support to reconnect an eligible subscription.
Can deletion be reversed?
Account deletion is permanent. Once information has been removed from active systems, seto is unable to recover your account, workout history, custom exercises, routines, notes, or other data.
Before confirming deletion, make sure you no longer need the information stored in your account. You may request a copy of eligible personal data before deleting your account by emailing contact@seto.fit.
