  5. Slowly stop the machine and step off once the pedals have completely stopped.
Full technique — 7 steps
  1. Step onto the pedals, take the moving handles, and stand tall with your feet centered.
  2. Start the machine and establish a smooth stride without stomping or bouncing through the pedals.
  3. Keep your torso upright with a natural spine and your gaze directed forward.
  4. Drive the pedals through a full, even path while letting your heels stay connected.
  5. Push and pull the handles in rhythm with your legs if using the upper-body arms.
  6. Adjust resistance and incline to match the effort you want without shortening your stride.
  7. Finish the interval, let the pedals slow down, and step off only after they stop.
