How to do the Dumbbell Side Bend

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, holding a dumbbell in one hand.
  2. Place your free hand on your hip for balance and stability.
  3. Bend sideways, sliding the dumbbell down your thigh toward your knee.
  4. Return to upright, feeling a stretch on your side—switch sides after.

  3. Tighten your stomach and keep your shoulders level.
  4. Slide the dumbbell down the outside of your thigh by bending sideways at the trunk.
  5. Lower until you reach your comfortable end range without twisting or leaning forward.
