  3. Row the kettlebell toward your lower ribs, driving your elbow up and back.
  4. Slowly lower the kettlebell back to the starting position.
Full technique — 7 steps
  1. Stand with feet about hip to shoulder width and place the kettlebell between or just outside your feet.
  2. Hinge at the hips and bend your knees slightly until your torso is angled forward with a neutral spine.
  3. Tighten your stomach, let one arm hang straight down, and grip the kettlebell handle firmly.
  4. Set the working shoulder by keeping it away from your ear and squaring your chest to the floor.
  5. Row the kettlebell toward your lower ribs or hip by driving your elbow up and back.
  6. Lower the kettlebell until your arm is straight again without twisting your torso or losing your hinge.
  7. Complete all reps on one side, then switch arms and match the same number of reps.
